| De stad wordt in hoog tempo volgebouwd. Veel leegstaande fabrieken, kloosters en overige incourante panden zijn òf gesloopt òf omgebouwd tot wooncomplexen en tot andere, vaak commerciële, bestemmingen. De vrijplaatsen voor de kunsten zijn vrijwel verdwenen. Kortom, op een paar musea na en een enkele galerie, is er nog maar bitter weinig overgebleven. En dat terwijl deze stad bruist van creatieve energie. Dus? |
The city is being built up at a rapid pace. Many empty factories, monasteries and other obsolete buildings have either been demolished or converted into residential complexes and other, often commercial, uses. The free spaces for the arts have virtually disappeared. In short, apart from a few museums and a single gallery, very little has survived. And that while this city is buzzing with creative energy. So? |

| Dus dachten wij, Petra Jacobs en Sjon Brands, in plaats van af te wachten tot er ergens een ruimte vrij komt, waarom nemen we niet een stukje van de publieke ruimte in? De kunsten horen daar thuis, volgens ons, wij maken ons werk om dat aan anderen te laten zien. Vandaar deze kleine pop-up-kunstmanifestatie. In de morgen opbouwen, ’s middags vertonen en in de avond weer afbreken. U bent van harte welkom. |
So we, Petra Jacobs and Sjon Brands, thought instead of waiting for a space to become available somewhere, why not take a piece of public space? The arts belong there, in our opinion, we make our work to show that to others. Hence this little pop-up art manifestation. Build up in the morning, show in the afternoon and break down again in the evening. You're welcome. |

| Sjon laat zijn nieuwste windmobile zien, Petra bouwt haar installatie met jassen op en Martin gaat voor spontane improvisaties met zang en beweging. In ons aller prachtige Wilhelminapark, ergens op een mooie zondagmiddag in oktober. Wij zijn nogal afhankelijk van het weer, dus laten we u pas kort tevoren de precieze datum weten. Het wordt zondagmiddag 9 oktober 2022. Wij hopen dat u dit initiatief weet te waarderen en even langs komt. Graag. Tot dan. |
Sjon shows his latest windmobile,Petra builds up her installation with jackets and Martin goes for spontaneous performances with movement and song.
