| Het tableau ‘Not today, Fred!’ wordt een soort lange optocht, een protestdemonstratie, met 24 taferelen met meer dan 50 bewerkte Barbies. De organiserende organisaties laten weten: „Barbie wordt wakker, Barbie is ‘t zat! Genoeg polonaise! Barbie op de bres: Barbiepower! De ‘Vereniging voor gelijke Barbierechten’ en de ‘Bond van Dwaze Barbies’ hebben een landelijke demonstratie aangekondigd. Het wordt een massale ‘Witte Mars tegen de Varkens’ onder het motto: ‘No more hanky panky, Romeo!’, een vlammend protest tegen Romeo’s al te lichtzinnige romances!” |
The tableau ‘Not today, Fred!’ becomes a kind of long parade, a protest demonstration, with 24 scenes with more than 50 adepted Barbies. The organizing organizations say: „Barbie wakes up, Barbie is fed up! Enough polonaise! Barbie on the breach: Barbie power! The ‘Association for equal Barbie rights’ and the ‘Federation of Silly Barbies’ have announced a national demonstration. It will be a massive ‘White March against the Pigs’ under the motto: ‘No more hanky panky, Romeo!’, a flaming protest against Romeo’s all too frivolous romances!” |

| De mobile ‘Retour à Zoutelande’ is een staande installatie waaraan talloze door de wind voortbewogen objecten hangen. Objecten als gewone voorwerpen uit het dagelijkse leven, van strandspeelgoed tot afwasborsteltjes, maar ook abstracte geometrische vormen. De beweging van de mobile is door haar afhankelijkheid van de wind vrij onvoorspelbaar en boeiend om te volgen, afwisselend van een dynamisch kijkspel tot een rustgevend tafereel. |
The mobile ‘Retour à Zoutelande’ is a standing installation on which numerous objects hang moved by the wind. Objects as ordinary objects from everyday life, from beach toys to washing-up brushes, but also abstract geometric shapes. Due to its dependence on the wind, the movement of the mobile is quite unpredictable and fascinating to follow, alternating from a dynamic viewing game to a calming scene. |
